In Sebring, we recommend that our clients having eyebrow tinting and waxy follow these simple suggestions to support their results.
- We know it will be hard, but avoid touching or rubbing your eyebrows for the first 24 hours. Skin can be more sensitive after waxing, and touching/rubbing the skin could cause irritation. Also, your pores are more open during this post-treatment time, and touching can introduce oils, dirt, etc. into those pores. It’s best to not touch the brow hair for the first 24 to 48 hours after tinting to ensure the dye receives the best opportunity for absorption.
- Keep your brows dry for the first 24 to 48 hours, as water can irritate that sensitive skin and slow down the follicle healing process. Wetting the brows during this time can also dilute the dye before it fully sets. Avoid swimming, hot tubs/saunas, and be careful when showering.
- Don’t use makeup during for 24 hours after treatment, as the product can get into the open pores and possibly cause irritation, clogged pores, and invite breakouts.
- For cleansing during the initial 24 hours, only use gentle cleansers and don’t scrub at the skin. You can dab the skin gently, and pat it dry.
Your Florida Lakes Spa provider may have other instructions for your specific needs and concerns, too, so that you can fully enjoy your lash tint for as long as possible.
